🎄 Fresh‑Cut Christmas Tree

Noble Fir vs. Douglas Fir — Which should I choose?

• Noble Fir – Strong, tiered branches perfect for heavy ornaments; rich piney scent.
• Douglas Fir – Softer, bushier foliage in lighter green; sweet, woodsy and citrus fragrance.

 
Product Inclusions & Specifications

• Each Christmas tree includes a high-quality plastic stand and will be pre-set up prior to delivery.
• Tree height is measured from the bottom of the trunk to the top.
• While trees will fall within the ordered size range (e.g., 6′–7′), specific height and shape preferences cannot be guaranteed.
• As trees are cut in the United States and shipped to Hong Kong, variations in appearance, shape, size, and lifespan may occur.
• Exchanges will only be considered under the following conditions:
  • Broken treetop
  • Minimum of two branch gaps exceeding 10″ x 10″

How wide will my tree be?
A good rule of thumb: width is about 40–50 % of the height.

Why isn’t the top perfectly straight, or why are there gaps?
Trees are natural, so variation in shape, top growth, or fullness is normal.
 
How long will my tree last?
With proper care, most cut trees last 4–6 weeks.
Because our trees are imported from the USA to Hong Kong, transit time may naturally shorten their display life slightly — around 4 weeks is typical.
Every tree is unique — some stay fresh a little longer, others a little less — so think of our timing as a helpful guide rather than a fixed rule.

How should I water my tree?

• We trim the base of the trunk before delivery, so it’s ready to absorb water immediately on arrival.
• Top up with warm/hot plain water the first time then lukewarm water when refill
• Keep the base always submerged; check water daily, especially the first week.

Why isn’t my tree taking up water?
Sometimes a fresh‑cut tree may slow or stop absorbing water. This can happen for a few common reasons:

• Cooler indoor conditions – Trees drink less in cooler rooms or after the first week, once initial moisture needs are met.
• Natural variation – Each tree is a living product with its own rate of water uptake.

Tip: Keep the base always submerged. If the water level has dropped below the cut, a fresh slice from the bottom of the trunk can help reopen the channels.

How can I make the scent last?

• Gently rub needles to release aroma.
• Lightly mist the tree.
• Keep away from heat sources and maintain hydration.

🌿 Wreath & Poinsettia Care

Wreaths – On arrival, soak in water for a few hours, then hang. Mist daily to keep foliage fresh.
Poinsettias –

• Water every 3–4 days indoors, every 1–2 days outdoors, adjusting as needed.
• Place in bright, indirect light.
• Avoid cold drafts and heat vents

Additional fees

• A HK$250 delivery surcharge applies to orders under HK$1,000
• Delivery Fee for specific locations (refer to table above)
• Stair access (walking up/down) – no fee for 9 steps or less; 10 steps of more will be considered as 1 floor, if walk up building will be counted per floor.
• Long walking distance from drop-off point – please notify us and check if additional fee is required.
• For trees exceeding 10 feet, please contact us for a custom quote covering delivery, stair access, and recycling fees.
• Re-delivery fees (if no one is available to receive delivery on schedule delivery day):
  • HK$250 for trees sized 2–3ft to 7–8ft
  • HK$400 for trees sized 8–9ft to 9–10ft
  • Fees for trees 10ft and above to be determined upon request

Amendments & Administrative Fees

• Requests for changes to purchased items or delivery dates must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
• A HK$250 administrative fee will be charged for any late change requests.

*In the event of any dispute, the decision of Chun Hing Gardening & Landscaping Ltd. shall be final and conclusive.
